GDM Music releases for the first absolute time on CD the complete OST by Nico Fidenco for the spy movie
“Agente Logan Missione Ypotron” (aka “Operation 'Y'“ – “Mission secrète pour Lemmy Logan”)
directed in 1966 by Giorgio Stegani and starring Luis Dávila, Gaia Germani, Alfredo Mayo, Jesús Puente,
Janine Reynaud. Lemmy Logan is a super technologic secret agent (for example he uses special glasses for
night vision) who is on a very powerful space weapon’s trail, a device called Ypotron, that can dominate the
whole world. Nico Fidenco has composed a sparkling Beat style OST introduced by the song “Ypotron”
performed by the London band The Sorrows and that opens and closes the movie. The composer reprises with
different arrangements a wild Go Go motif with steel guitar accompanied by electric guitars, organ and drums.
This motif is alternated to a delicate love theme for guitar with Spanish flavour and to several music themes
typical of the Spy genre, sometimes mysterious and suspended, sometimes dramatic and violent. For this CD
the original mono session master tapes were used, digitally restored and re-mastered.
