Gli ultimi giorni di Pompei is a 1959 film that sees
the debut of director Sergio Leone and Steve
Reeves in front of the camera, both before
becoming household names around the world.
The film is taken from the best selling novel by
Edward Bulwer-Lytton published in 1834 shortly
before a true eruption of Vesuvius.
Music by Angelo Francesco Lavagnino, one of the
most successful in Italy and abroad which has
worked with directors such as Orson Welles and
composed music for hundreds of films.
