Miklos Rozsa created the distinctive and dramatic sound for a Hollywood epic film in the 1950s. The CD features several pieces from Rozsa's most famous scores - "Ben Hur," "Quo Vadis," "King of Kings" and "El Cid" all recorded in 1967
This release also features as a bonus track performance of his Oscar-winning "Spellbound Concerto" from the Alfred Hitchcock film, performed by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra with Leonard Pennario in 1960.
