NEAR MINT - UNSEALED - ONLY 1 AVAILABLE
The first Signature Intrada Edition features Christopher Young's "The Tower," a 40 minute ghost story by Gedney Webb. Young assembles a select chamber orchestra featuring strings, harp and piano. In keeping with the story's wistful romantic narrative, he composes music in a gentle vein, writing transparent lines for violin over piano and harp. The moving score highlights a side to this veteran horror composer previously unheard. With delicate nuance, Young weaves into and out of dialog with unobtrusive melodies, always working towards a warm, particularly haunting finale.

A chance encounter introduces him to Adeline, a ghost who 83 years earlier made a decision that trapped her forever in the tower of the summer home. An unexpected event allows Carter to help Adeline find the freedom and resolution that eluded her in life. 2002
