For horror buffs and lovers of film music, the first time CD release of Music to Be Murdered By and Circus of Horrors is a rich treat.
Between music composed by Van Alexander, Alfred Hitchcock himself offers witty, delightful commentary appropriate to horrific proceedings. This 1958 album was the only time Hitchcock himself ever appeared on a record.
Circus of Horrors, a 1960 British horror flick, was a lavishly mounted, richly produced film set against a circus background with mad surgeon crossing swords with gorgeous girls and wild clowns. British film legend Muir Mathieson and Franz Reizenstein composed the thrilling score which includes for the first time, the pop hit from the film, "Look For A Star," (written by Tony Hatch) sung by Gary Mills.
