The film was a 76-day shoot involving Durango, Mexico and Sun Valley, Idaho. Four thousand head of cattle were assembled, along with 1,500 Mexicans! This film was big! And Victor Young’s score had no problem stretching out to Cinemascope proportions itself.

Appearing on CD for the very first time, and including both the final take and a never-before-heard demo of Ken Darby’s title song, The Tall Men is one big, tall exciting release!
