AN UNMARRIED WOMAN (1978) is also Oscar-nominated film, scored by Bill Conti, directed by Paul Mazursky, starring Jill Clayburgh, Alan Bates. Conti writes melodic music with abundance of trumpet, moderate jazz tempo pieces, romantic cues then winds with dynamic full statement of main theme in rich finale ("Erica Leaves Saul").
